LAST weekend was the Stratford Intercity volleyball tournament.
After two days of tough games, The Cell from Wellington came out on top after beating Stratford team Scrappers in the final of the competitive grade.
A Stratford and Auckland combined team took out third place.
In the social competitive grade, Stratford team Delicious Hotties won a close final against All Saints from Wanganui.
Lobbs Plumbing A Grade
In a tough semi-final match, Swahaoh moved into the finals after a 2-1 win against Lobbs Mob.
Lobbs Mob will now meet Fossils in the major semi-final this week.
Egmont Rodders won their game against NPBHS.
Taranaki Farmers B and C Grade
Bob had 5-0 win against All Stars to top the table after the round robin.
Second place went to Fire rescue, beating Boys and Girls, 4-1.
Semi-finals in the B Grade are on this weekend and the two losing teams from last week will be trying to reverse those results this week.
In the C grade Cranky Yankees still hold the Digby cup, with a 5-0 win over Whipbacks.
Wot If still top the table with a 5-0 over All Sorts.
In the match of the round, Duck or Bleed had a very close 3-2 win against All Inn.
