Attempting to take a tricky corner at high speed.
Exhaust fumes and powerful engines flooded Orlando Street on Sunday when some of Taranaki's best turned out for the Stratford street sprints.
With everything from minis to turbo-powered Nissan Silvias and rally cars, the competition was tough. Racing against the clock around a hazardous track filled with hairpins and chicanes, more than a few competitors came off second best, with one unfortunate car nose-diving into a ditch.
Overall, the day was a great success and the spectators were treated to excellent viewing from a truck trailer set right above one of the more technical corners.
