Stratford Pony Club update

KELSEY Espin and Kaipaki Lace won the show jumping.
KELSEY Espin and Kaipaki Lace won the show jumping.

ON SATURDAY, March 29, the Stratford Pony Club ran their annual one-day event.

The format this year had to be altered slightly as the racecourse where the cross-country phase is held has a large area planted in maize. This meant the pony club was unable to use half of their cross-country jumps.

The riders completed two show jumping rounds, with the second round being timed over a shortened course. They then proceeded out to the cross-country section where they had 13 obstacles to clear.

The winners were those with the least amount of faults in the quickest time.

The pony club would like to thank those members of the racing club who helped out on the day and also the following businesses for kindly donating prizes; Williams & Kettle, Birtwick Park (Midhirst) and the Stratford Branch of the Taranaki Veterinary Centre
