Trail of vandalism

Vandals in Stratford on Friday night and early Saturday morning left a trial of destruction in their wake.

A rock was thrown through a window at a home on Pembroke Road, a vehicle on Celia Street dented and a rock thrown through the window of a car parked outside a home on Regan Street. Rocks were thrown through two windows of a house on Cassandra Street. In other incidents the same night petrol was stolen from a vehicle on Hamlet Street and on Orlando Street a pet rabbit was discovered killed.

Broken toe suspected

Apart from a suspected broken toe no one was seriously injured when two vehicles last Tuesday crashed on the corner of Broadway and Romeo St in Stratford.

Bike stolen

Police are seeking information on a small to medium-sized orange mountain pushbike stolen from a London Street home in Eltham overnight last Monday/Tuesday. The MOTO bike, valued at $300, was allegedly left on the porch for the night.

Teenagers assaulted

Police arrested a 17 and 19-year-old male from Stratford last Friday after an alleged assault on two 16-year-old boys on Hamlet Street, leaving both with a black eye and one with a bruised body and bloody nose.

Drink driving

An 18-year-old Eltham female was apprehended for drink driving, blowing 375mcg. She will appear in the Hawera District Court in due course, say police.
