Stratford police report: Spate of thefts

Police are seeking information on a red and white Honda motorbike.

Stratford has been plagued by a series of thefts, with one incident also in Ngaere.

Equipment worth thousand of dollars was stolen from a farm shed on Cornwall Road, Ngaere, last Tuesday, including welders, chainsaws and generators. Information is wanted on a white Toyota Hi-Ace with rust stains seen with four males inside. If you can help, contact the Eltham Police.

On the same day in Stratford, around half a tank of petrol was siphoned out of a vehicle park on Broadway North, and a motorbike stolen from the back of a ute in Aerial Street. To remove the bike, the thief (s) had to remove four tie-downs and a padlock.

If you know where the red-and-white Honda motorbike, registration CRF230F might be, contact the Stratford Police.

Last Wednesday, a bright blue homemade tandem trailer, used to transport stock cars, was stolen from a home on Exeter Street, and a silver Suzuki scooter and a BAHCO soccer set stolen from a garage on Orlando Street. The thief(s) entered the garage between 8.30 and 1.30pm through an open side door. The scooter's registration is 18WCJ. If you have since seen it, please phone the Stratford Police.
