Stratford police report: Scam warning
Police warn residents to be vigilant when asked for donations to local or other charities and organisations.
A Stratford resident last week raised an alert after being asked by a male phone caller for a donation to the local RSA. Being a member of the organisation, she knew there was no such fundraising drive and alerted the police.
Senior Sergeant Darin Haenga advises people check with the organisation concerned if they have suspicions .
