Hockey semi-final held at the Taranaki Turf.
Both the Stratford Men's and Women's A senior hockey teams are in this week's finals after nail-biting semis held over the weekend.
The women took on Masters and a tough game ensued with both teams going goal-for-goal.
A brilliant shot off a penalty corner and two well-timed goals put the Stratford girls 3-2 ahead of Masters to take the win.
They will now challenge New Plymouth Girls High School for the 2007 title at the Taranaki Turf (Stratford) at 12 noon, Sunday.
The Men's game was always going to be an interesting one as both Stratford and New Plymouth Boys' High School were gunning for the win.
Both teams were under pressure and feisty play led to more than a few players being sent off. However, Stratford were too strong for the high school team and cleaned up with a 4-0 win.
The men will tackle Hawera on Sunday at the Taranaki Turf at 2pm in the hopes of reclaiming the senior men's grade title.
