Stratford gymnasts shine in Taranaki competition | Taranaki Sport | Surfing, Rugby, Soccer, Football, Cricket in Taranaki

Taranaki's only local gymnastics competition was held recently and the Stratford club had a very successful campaign.

Katie Taylor, Zoe Hobbs, Jacinta Frost and Rylie Saywell made up Stratford's level 3 team which came away bronze medal winners.

Zoe's individual placings of 3rd on vault, 3rd on bar and 5th overall, combined with Rylie's 2nd on floor and 4th overall, and Jacinta's 1st on floor secured the bronze team medal for the girls.

Stratford's highest-ranking female gymnast, Louise Lang, had an outstanding competition, securing the bronze individual medal for Level 6.

Kerryn Jansen gained a credible 9th place overall for consistent performance on all apparatus.

The Taranaki competition is the last for the Stratford girls 2007 season. Tireless training by both competitors and coaches throughout the year has made a very successful season.
