The Stratford High School Boys 1st XI Hockey Team
Recently, secondary schools from across New Zealand competed in a wide range of national tournaments...from basketball to hockey, soccer to netball and more.

.The Stratford High School Boys 1st XI Hockey Team had great success placing second overall in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Hockey Tournament/Founders Cup.
To make it into the finals, the team won four from five matches - losing only to the eventual winners, Tararua College 4-1.
During the pool play, the team won against Kristin High School 5-1, Central Hawkes Bay College 6-1 and drew 1-1 against Palmerston North Boys' High School.
In the semifinals, the team faced Havelock North High School and drew 2-2. This led to stroke play where Stratford won 5-3.
