ACTION from the 2008 Boxing Day Demolition derby.
STRTAFORD Speedway came alive on Boxing Day, with the annual Demolition Derby taking centre stage.
More than 20 cars entered the race with the aim to smash the opponent, keep your car running and claim the top cash prize.
Prizes were awarded to first and second, best stirrer and best paint job.
Plenty of action, crashes and even a few rolls kept the crowds entertained.
One highlight was when car number 070 driven by Quintin Poulsen caught on fire.
After 20 gruelling minutes an eventual winner was crowned with top honours going to Adam Reed.
The night also saw a demonstration race by Royden Collingwood who has custom-built a stockcar to take and race in England this season.
