Talented rugby players, Brett Sheldon and Andrew Hunger have earned themselves spots in the Taranaki under- 3 and under-60kg squads after impressive showing at the Ross Brown Schoolboys' rugby tournament held at Yarrow Stadium over the weekend.
Brett, playing the position of prop, was also named player of the tournament.
Both boys were part of the Central team which won the tournament, beating West 24-10 in the final match of the weekend - the first time they have taken the title in 12 years.
Brett and Andrew now have the opportunity to prove themselves among the 41-strong squad in games and trials to be named in the final Taranaki team.
Andrew has been played rugby his whole life and hopes to continue his passion at High School.
Brett, who also plays league for the Central Cougars, is unsure about his rugby aspirations as is this is the first year he has played competitively.
