Lion Nathan Beer Master accreditation for O'Donoghue's Irish Bar
O'Donoghue's Irish Bar recently celebrated success after receiving its Lion Nathan Beer Master accreditation for perfecting the art of pouring and presenting a great pint of beer.
The award was presented to Bertie Burleigh, manager of O'Donoghue's Irish Bar, by Chris Sutton, Taranaki Sales Executive from Lion Nathan. The award recognises and rewards the high standards achieved by O'Donoghue's Irish Bar. Mr Sutton said the quality and taste of tap beer is greatly affected by the way it is handled and served. The Beer Master Award gives beer drinkers a way to recognise those pubs, bars and restaurants that invest the appropriate time and effort to ensure their beer is at its best.
"The best way to drink tap beer is when it is fresh, pulled through properly maintained pipes, poured into clean glasses and served at the right temperature," said Mr Sutton. "When we are assessing an outlet we inspect every aspect of the beer service to make sure it meets our high quality standards. If they pass every category, we present them with the Beer Master Award."
Lion Nathan's assessors said the O'Donoghue's Irish Bar management team showed the real commitment and passion it takes from an operator to present quality tap beer every time.
O'Donoghue's Irish Bar Manager Bertie Burleigh said his team was extremely proud to receive the Beer Master Award. "We have always had confidence in our tap beer quality, but this recognition will now give our customers confidence that the pint they purchase is at its best."
Accredited venues are re-assessed every year to ensure the high standards are maintained.
