More success for talented Kaponga team

The Kaponga netball team won the Hurlestone Sheild last week.

The Kaponga netball team won the Hurlestone Sheild last week.

The Kaponga netballers have done it again. After a recent run of success, the team has added to its trophy cabinet.

In a heated final against Ngaere School last Thursday, the girls took out the Hurlestone Shield for the first time, the final score resting at 21-20.

The whole of Kaponga School turned out to watch the team play and were very enthusiastic in their support.

Prior to the Hurlestone success, the girls had just come off a high at nationals, held from September 3-7.

After pool play decided grades, the team was placed in the C section which they went on to win.
