Children presented their models and creations to their parents and other members of the community during a celebration of learning on the last day of Term 2.’Making Powerful Connections’ has been the focus for Inquiry during Term 2. Children have been investigating appliances and how they work, experimenting with circuits, surveying electricity supply points within the school, finding out more about how wires and cables are made (with the help of a visit from Mr Ian Skipworth, Production Manager Olex Cables), who the different Power Companies herein New Zealand are, investigating different ways electricity can be made and finally why you would want to choose to use an alternative power source.
