Midhirst kids tried hard for tryathlon | Taranaki Sport | Surfing, Rugby, Soccer, Football, Cricket in Taranaki

Seven students from Midhirst School ventured to New Plymouth last week to take part in the annual Weet-Bix Kids Kiwi Tryathlon. Due to bad weather, the swim was cancelled and replaced with a 200m beach run. Following the run was a 4km or 8km cycle and then another 1.5km run.

All seven competitors had excellent time and all completed the course, gaining a valuable medal from Olympic Gold medallist Hamish Carter.
