SIXTY FIVE children living with cancer had a ball in Stratford last week at Camp Quality.
The camp is held annually at St Mary’s Diocesan School and the children are referred by the Child Cancer Foundation.
They came with their companions from as far away as Hawkes Bay in the east and Wellington in the south.
Ten of the children were from Taranaki.
They had helicopter rides, motorcycle rides, swam at Opunake Beach and the local pool, visited Stony Oaks and the Fun Ho museum and walked the Maize Maze in Inglewood. They had a firework display, rode in a stockcar and 22 of the girls had their hair and nails done by staff at Noir Hair and Day Spa.
Many business donated their time and services for the kids, who were aged between 5 and 16.
A great time was had by all.
