The Inglewood Premier cricket team has injected its ranks with Zimbabwean international, Gavin Ewing.
As well as playing for the prems, Gavin is employed by the Taranaki Cricket Association to work with schools around the region teaching cricket skills.
He will also be helping the Inglewood Cricket Club's younger members, coaching the junior teams.
Gavin comes to New Zealand with a wealth of experience under his belt, having played at international level for his country.
Following political unrest, 26-year-old Gavin retired from professional cricket in Zimbabwe.
Since then, he has spent time in Australia and England in roles similar to the one he now has in New Zealand.
"I am excited about being in New Zealand and playing for Inglewood. It is a great place with lovely people," he said.
