The centennial cake.
Hundreds of Dean Cup supporters from across the country took over the Toko Rugby Club last Saturday, to honour the oldest rugby cup in New Zealand.
Awesome weather and plenty of reminiscing made the centennial a complete success.
Maka Paki Paki officially welcomed guests followed by speeches from David Walter, Doug Dean (grandson of Athalinda Dean) and Margaret Walmsley (great-granddaughter).
The centennial cake was cut by the oldest surviving Dean, Richard Dean, and the youngest Dean - Athalinda's great-great-great-granddaughter, Anya Batt. That evening guests were entertained by local band Crossfire.
Pictured are some of the hundreds of guests waiting for lunch at the Dean Cup Centennial celebrations.
