For those who haven't been to see the latest exhibition at the Percy Thomson Gallery in Stratford, a pleasant surprise awaits.

Gallery director Sue Morton says there has been very good feedback about the exhibition from visitors.

Blown Away With Glass features works from around 30 of New Zealand's leading glass artists.

Styles include cast, slumped, blown, fused and laminated into jewellery, bowls, sculptures and inspiring wall installations.

Glass brings to mind magic, wonderment, tantalising, fascination opalescence, says Sue.

The wall works on display are by an invited group of Taranaki artists including Waldo Hartley, John McLean, Alby Carter, Dale Copeland, Paul Hutchinson, Antonia O'Mahony, Carl Fairweather, Jan Huijbers, Rae Van't Hof, Denise Newland.

There is also a collaborated work between Anthea Stayt and Vjekoslav Nemesh, Frances Rookes, Laurel Davis, Roger Morris, Marianne Muggeridge, Denis Bourke, Jilly Hare and Glenda Kirk.

The exhibition will run until January 25.
