Fertilise your plum tree
If you have a plum tree, it'll appreciate a good dose of citrus fertiliser right now.
Water relief
Even well-established trees dry out in the hot summer months. If it's not raining much, give them all a good, deep watering once or twice a week.
Wallop brown spots
Check all your precious plants for the brown spots caused by fungus, and wallop them with a fungicide spray.
Trim hedge plants
Give new hedge plants a gentle trim. They'll be putting on new growth now but topping them will encourage growth at the base.
Courgette overload
Plant one more courgette - having an over-supply means you can eat them when they're really tiny.
