Stratford teenager Angelica Schumacher made a big tick on her bucket list when last month she was invited to join her favourite band, Titanium, on stage in New Plymouth.

To top off the "best day of her live", in front of more than 500 other fans, she received a bouquet of flowers from teenage heartthrob Zac Taylor while being serenaded to Nothing But Love.

Angelica admits to being "absolutely crazy" about the band and has attended a number of their performances around the country. Last year, she also won a backstage ticket, and a ride on their bus, when the band performed in New Plymouth for the first time, and then at the start of this year she again got to rub shoulders with them at the Oakura beach festival.

But, the 15-year-old says the concert at the Festival of Lights mid last month was her best experience yet.

She entered an online competition for a double backstage pass with best friend Samantha Howard, describing what they love about the band. To make sure their entry got noticed, they added a video singing Titanium songs.

'I was looking out there at around 500 people, when they said 'can we please bring Angelica out'. Before you know it, I was being sung to by six very handsome boys. It was great. It was just the happiest feeling of my life."

She says she received loads of comments afterwards from people who saw her on stage.

Samantha was sick in bed, so Angelica took another friend, Tony Renshaw from Inglewood, along, but says he is "not that into Titanium".

Angelica herself loves performing and singing and the band inspires her. In fact, they motivated her to have a try at the X Factor auditions in New Plymouth this past Sunday. In 2011, she was named winner of the vocal solo in the Lions Music Awards in Stratford and judged overall winner. She plans to study performing arts after school.
