Red lined the Kaponga domain on Saturday with 30 fire service vehicles standing side by side, polished to the nines for the centenary celebration of the town's voluntary fire brigade.
Volunteer teams from as far as Wellington participated in the parade with Taranaki stations from around the mountain, including Toko, Eltham and Stratford, also making their star appearance alongside local businesses, clubs and schools' floats.
The brigade has seen many changes over the past 100 years, but volunteers' backbone and heart have always been the driving force. Congratulations Kaponga, and a big thank you to all the volunteers who have served over the past century and the communities who have supported them.
