Hear ye! Hear ye! The biennial Baldrick's Big Day Out was a huge success.

In conjunction with the Stratford Lions Market Day and library book sale, another fairly stupendous Elizabethan family fun day was held.

Perfect weather, great talent from local youngsters busking like kings, turnip tossing and medieval dancing were just a few of the highlights.

A popular event was when Deputy Mayor John Edwards was caught and forced into stocks. Youngsters were then armed with wet sponges and let loose to fire.

This year there was a record number of stall holders offering a wide range of goodies, crafts and bargains galore.

Mike Self, the town crier, did an amazing job keeping the day organised and entertaining the crowd with plenty of wit and humour.

Locals were also treated to readings from the Stratford Sonnet Competition winners.
