Stratford Primary held its Top Team day on Thursday, an event which associate principal Aaron Moore describes as "a fun day focused on sportsmanship and participation".

While it is meant to be an annual event, Aaron says that it has not been able to go ahead every year due to poor weather on the day which, combined with a busy term one timetable, has in some years left no room for rescheduling.

This year, however, the sun shone upon the students as they worked together to earn house points for their individual houses. The points are given not just for winning an event, but also for participation and for sportsmanship.

Teachers also use the event to help them in identifying the Year 7 and 8 students who will be house captains and members of the school council for the year.
