THE changing of the Board for the Eltham Lions Club was held on Tuesday, June 23, and new President Ray Lawrence was sworn in.
This is Ray’s second term as president of the club, and the board is promising to be even more enthusiastic about bringing in new members and getting out into the community more as well. Board appointments are: Ray Lawrence – President, Paul Roberts – 1st Vice President, Megan England – 2nd Vice President (and chairperson of the Health & Community Concern committee), Max Barnard – Secretary, Sherry Lee – Lion Tamer, Brian Hicks – Tail Twister, Clare Bramley - Bulletin Editor, Philip Gudopp – Chairperson of Annual Projects committee, Joyce Lawrence – Chairperson of Youth committee, Bob Bramley – Chairperson of Membership committee, Marlene Henn – Almoner.
The Eltham Lions Club is also celebrating its 40th year of serving the Eltham community this year after being chartered in 1970.
Part of these celebrations will be in trying to boost membership of the club, as well as getting out and being seen in the community with more projects.
